About Us

TKL Law is a busy client-focused law firm in Brantford providing legal services in real estate law, wills & estates and corporate law. We pride ourselves on delivering smooth, efficient, and personable service. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Open and close client files in real estate, wills & estates, and corporate matters.
Draft, review, and prepare correspondence, agreements, and legal documents.
Liaise with clients, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other professionals.
Manage calendars, deadlines, and daily schedules.
Prepare and organize closing documents for real estate transactions.
Assist with estate administration and corporate filings.
Perform general administrative duties (filing, scanning, phone calls, email management).

Qualifications

Required:

1+ years experience as a Legal Assistant/ law clerk or Administrative Assistant.
Valid Drive’s Licence and a vehicle (required).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software (experience with Unity a plus).
High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred:

Legal Assistant Certificate, Law Clerk Certificate, Bachelor Degree in Paralegal Studies, Administration, or other relevant education.
Registration as a Commissioner of Oaths or Notary Public, or willingness and ability to acquire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
