Full job description

Material Handler

JGW Machine Limited is one of Ontario's leading metal fabricators, manufacturing a wide variety of metal components for customers across Ontario and worldwide. Our clean, modern, highly automated 106,000 square foot facility is strategically located in South Western Ontario. At JGW Machine Limited our capabilities include engineering and design, machining, tooling and complete quality control. Process capabilities include laser welding, CNC machining, production welding, metal spinning, powder coat painting, finishing and assembly services. We ship metal components, weldments, and full assemblies globally. JGW Machine Limited has a tradition of quality metal fabricated products at competitive prices. We specialize in short run, tight tolerance metal forming, fabrication, welding and assembly.

Job Summary:

Load and unload trucks;
Pick parts utilizing pick list;
Receive couriers – follow through applicable procedures;
Count product, tag parts;
Identify and conform to proper customer packaging requests;
Warehouse parts as required;
Maintain clean and organized work area;
Use computer to obtain pick lists;
Visually inspect parts for conformance;
Other duties as assigned.

Skill Factor:

Ability to safely and proficiently operate lift truck, reach truck, tow motors;
Ability to read blue prints;
Work with minimal supervision, organize and execute assignments;
Good communication skills.

Effort Factors:

Ability to accurately maintain and follow procedures;
Capable of working flexible hours as required;
Team member, who takes direction well and offers input;
Must be able to stand and bend for an undetermined amount of time.

Education:

Post Secondary Diploma or equivalent preferred;
Certificate / license / supported or demonstrated ability and knowledge to use lift trucks, and other related equipment;
Some general knowledge of computer applications;
Must have a valid driver’s license.

This position is located in Princeton, Ontario, which is 25 minutes from Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
