Royal Machine Solutions is hiring an Intermediate Assembler / Fabricator to support the build of custom conveyor systems and industrial equipment.
This is NOT an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone with real shop experience who can work independently, think mechanically, and contribute to production without needing constant direction.

What You’ll Be DoingFabrication & Assembly
- Assemble conveyor systems and custom industrial equipment
- Perform MIG welding (TIG experience is an asset)
- Use shop equipment confidently:
- Saws
- Drills
- Grinders
- Plasma cutter
- Hand tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Fit, align, and assemble components accurately
- Install bearings, pulleys, guides, drives, and conveyor belting
- Support fabrication and machining operations when required
Ownership & Execution
- Take jobs from start to finish with limited supervision
- Stage hardware and materials from drawings and BOMs
- Catch issues before they become production problems
- Maintain build quality and timelines
- Keep work areas organized and production-ready
Lean & Continuous Improvement
At RMS, improvement is part of the job.
You will be expected to:
- Participate in daily Lean improvements
- Identify waste and inefficiencies
- Help improve organization, staging, and workflow
- Maintain strong 5S standards
- “Fix what bugs you”
What We’re Looking ForRequired
- 2+ years of shop, fabrication, or assembly experience
- Comfortable using hand tools and shop equipment independently
- Basic MIG welding ability
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Assets
- Conveyor or material handling experience
- TIG welding experience
- Machining exposure (mills, lathes, CNC)
- Understanding of alignment, squaring, and fit-up
- Lean / 5S experience
- Fusion360 exposure

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
