Maple Ridge Living is looking for an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to take ownership of the production and execution of our residential renovation projects.
We’re looking for someone who knows residential construction, can manage multiple active projects, and is comfortable being accountable for schedules, budgets, trades, quality, and the day-to-day details required to keep projects moving.
You’ll work closely with our design, estimating, and production teams to take well-planned projects from pre-construction through completion.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure a complete understanding of each project
- Build and manage detailed project schedules, work plans, and construction sequencing

- Ensure crews and subcontractors have the information and materials required to execute the work efficiently
Production & Site Management
- Manage day-to-day production across multiple residential renovation projects
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and internal crews

- Ensure work is completed according to drawings, building codes, and Maple Ridge standards
- Coordinate inspections and ensure deficiencies are resolved promptly
- Identify production issues early and take corrective action to keep projects moving
- Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites
- Perform some hands-on construction and physical labour when required to support the crew, address project needs, or keep work moving
The expectation is not that you perform the construction work yourself. The expectation is that you understand construction well enough to recognize what needs to happen next and make sure it happens.
Budget & Schedule Management
- Track labour, materials, subcontractors, and other project costs against approved budgets
- Monitor project progress against established schedules
- Identify potential delays, risks, and cost overruns before they become larger problems
- Implement corrective action when projects begin moving off plan

Client Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the construction phase
- Provide clear and regular updates on progress, schedules, and upcoming work
- Manage client expectations throughout the project
- Address questions and concerns professionally and proactively
- Communicate changes, challenges, and decisions clearly
- Maintain a positive client experience while keeping control of project scope, schedule, and execution

How We Work
We hire, work, and make decisions based on our core values. They define the kind of people who succeed at Maple Ridge Living and are an important part of how we evaluate candidates. We’re looking for a Project Manager who genuinely identifies with these values and demonstrates them in how they lead, communicate, make decisions, and take responsibility.
Grounded in Trust: You do what you say you’re going to do. You communicate clearly, take ownership when something goes wrong, and treat clients, coworkers, and trades with respect.
Sweat the Small Stuff: Details matter in residential construction. You plan ahead, notice problems before they become expensive, maintain high standards, and don’t accept “good enough” when something needs to be done properly.
Win as a Team: You don’t operate as an island. You communicate with designers, estimators, field staff, subcontractors, and leadership to solve problems and deliver the best result for the client.
Leadership Lifestyle: You take initiative. You make decisions, solve problems, hold yourself and others accountable, and step in when something needs to get done. You don’t wait for someone else to take ownership.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll likely be a strong fit if you have:
- 3–5+ years of residential construction project management experience
- Strong knowledge of residential renovation, custom home, or interior construction
- A solid understanding of residential construction methods, codes, and bylaws
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and construction schedules
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage several active projects and competing priorities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working with project management and scheduling software
- The ability to identify issues quickly, make decisions, and keep projects moving
- Willingness and ability to perform physical construction work as needed
- Residential carpentry experience, particularly framing or finishing, is a strong asset
What Success Looks Like
Projects are properly planned before construction begins. Crews and trades know where they need to be and when. Materials arrive when required. Clients know what is happening. Problems are dealt with quickly.
Most importantly, projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the quality standards our clients expect.
Compensation & Benefits

- 40–50 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- 3 weeks of vacation to start
