ORCA Solutions Limited is a growing Vancouver Island company specializing in the design, manufacture and sale of factory-built modular homes and light-gauge steel construction solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and develop our sales function as the company continues to expand.

This is a senior, hands-on sales leadership role responsible for sales strategy, team performance, pipeline management, forecasting, customer conversion and coordination between sales, marketing and the wider business.

Key responsibilities

Lead, organize and continuously improve ORCA’s sales function.
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company revenue, margin and growth objectives.
Lead, coach, train and manage the sales team.
Manage sales targets, pipeline performance, forecasting and KPI reporting.
Oversee lead qualification, CRM management, follow-up standards and conversion performance.
Manage the customer journey through ORCA’s high-value consultative residential sales process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
Negotiate customer sales contracts and commercial terms within approved company parameters.
Work closely with marketing on lead generation, customer messaging, product positioning and campaign performance.
Monitor sales data, customer feedback, market conditions and competitor activity.
Coordinate with design, project, production and operations teams to ensure customer commitments are accurate and effectively handed over following sale.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding and development of sales personnel as the team grows.
Develop sales processes, playbooks, CRM workflows and reporting systems.
Prepare sales budgets, forecasts, KPI reports and recommendations for senior management.
Attend customer meetings and project sites as required.

Required experience and qualifications

Minimum 5 years of relevant professional sales experience.
Minimum 2 years of sales-management or sales-leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing a sales team.
Demonstrated responsibility for sales performance, targets, pipeline management and forecasting.
Sales or commercial experience in construction, manufacturing, real estate, modular/manufactured housing, or another comparable high-value technical or product-based industry.
Strong experience in consultative sales, customer relationship management, negotiation and contract closing.
Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Strong leadership, communication, commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively across sales, marketing, operations and other business functions.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
Ability and willingness to regularly attend both ORCA work locations and undertake occasional customer/project site visits.

Work location and travel

Regular on-site attendance is required at both ORCA’s Courtenay and Campbell River locations.

The position also requires occasional travel to customer and project sites throughout ORCA’s operating area.

A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are required.

This is an on-site position and is not available as a remote role.

Education

No degree, certificate or diploma required.

Compensation and benefits

Guaranteed salary: $125,000 per year based on 40 hours per week.

Any performance-based bonus or incentive compensation offered by ORCA is additional to the guaranteed salary.

About the role

The Sales Director will report to ORCA’s Chief Executive Officer and will lead a growing sales function while working closely with marketing, design, operations and production.

The role is suited to an experienced sales leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-growing business, managing both strategy and execution, and supporting a high-value consultative customer journey.
