Full Time Baker
Full Time Pastry Cook

Both positions are primarily morning positions, with occasional flexibility required based on production and business needs.

Baker Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Baker to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of baking fundamentals, takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality products, and enjoys working in a scratch-made, professional kitchen.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, mix, scale, shape, proof, and bake a variety of breads and baked goods according to established recipes and production standards.
Prepare products such as breads, buns, rolls, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods.
Accurately measure and scale ingredients according to recipes and daily production requirements.
Monitor dough consistency, fermentation, proofing, baking times, and temperatures to ensure consistent results.
Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
Prepare and package finished products for café service, catering, and delivery.
Follow daily production schedules and ensure products are completed on time.
Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
Clean and properly maintain baking equipment and kitchen areas.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Assist with inventory management and monitor ingredient and supply levels.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and pastry teams to meet daily production needs.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous professional baking experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, and baking methods.
Ability to consistently follow recipes and production schedules.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Highly motivated, dependable, and willing to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices.
Previous experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or catering environment is an asset.
Baking or culinary education is an asset.

Pastry Cook Job Summary

Assist with seasonal and specialty pastry and dessert production.

Experience & Qualifications

Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Previous catering or high-volume production experience is an asset.
