Position Summary

PML is seeking an experienced Stainless Steel / Carbon Steel Welder to support a temporary shutdown/project at the Agnico Mine Site in Nunavut. The successful candidate will perform high-quality welding, fabrication, and repair work on stainless steel and carbon steel components using TIG and Stick welding processes while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform welding on stainless steel and carbon steel materials using TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) processes.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, drawings, and specifications.
Fabricate, repair, and modify piping, structural components, and equipment.
Inspect welds to ensure compliance with project and quality requirements.
Maintain welding equipment and a safe work environment.
Adhere to all company and site safety regulations.
Work effectively in a remote mining environment.

Qualifications

Valid CWB Welding Certification required.
TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority) certification
Proven experience welding stainless steel and carbon steel.
Strong TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld procedures.
Mining, industrial, or construction welding experience considered an asset.
Ability to meet all Agnico site access and safety requirements.
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Working Conditions

Remote work location at an Agnico Mine Site, Nunavut.
Temporary assignment of approximately 2-3 weeks.
Camp accommodations and travel arrangements provided, as applicable.
Must be comfortable working in a remote camp environment.

Pay: $45.00-$58.00 per hour
