Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and experience in various ironworking tasks, including rigging, welding, and installation. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in erecting and assembling metal structures that are essential for building projects.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Assemble and install metal structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Install structural and misc metals efficiently and effectively.
- Rig heavy materials for lifting and placement using appropriate techniques.
- Weld components together using various welding methods to ensure structural integrity.
- Work effectively at heights, in tight spaces and other difficult positions.
- Utilize measuring and layout tools to ensure precision in assembly and installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and machinery effectively.
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical strength, including lifting heavy materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Commitment to safety practices on the job site is a must.
