What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment across both office spaces and plant facilities. This role is responsible for routine cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, and basic upkeep in common areas, restrooms, workspaces, and production-adjacent areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
You will be required to work a split shift from 11:30am – 8:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Driving Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, hallways, entryways, and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wash floors, walls, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in plant and warehouse-adjacent areas, including walkways, restrooms, and designated workspaces.
- Empty garbage containers and dispose of waste daily.
- Ensure parking lot and surrounding grounds are free of garbage.
- Restock restroom, kitchen, and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Operate and maintain janitorial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and other cleaning tools.
- Follow instructions for safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, spills, or damaged equipment
- Help support a safe workplace by keeping aisles, exits, and work areas clean and free of debris.
- Coordinate periodic deep cleaning and assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical handling practices.
- Ability to follow workplace safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Basic communication skills and ability to report issues clearly and promptly.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time including bending, twisting, and walking
- Willing to work indoors and outdoors in fluctuating temperatures and conditions
- Available to work 40 hours per week
