As an HVAC/R Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates at peak efficiency, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for clients and staff alike.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) and refrigeration systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration components using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning units, and related mechanical systems to prevent downtime.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Repair appliances, weld components as needed, and execute equipment repairs efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain property by inspecting HVAC/R equipment regularly, performing necessary repairs or replacements to ensure safety and compliance.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely when transporting tools or equipment between job sites.
- Collaborate with team members on field service projects requiring welding, boiler maintenance, or complex mechanical repairs.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC systems design and operation.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans to facilitate accurate troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units used in industrial applications.
- Mechanical knowledge covering plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general equipment repair.
- Demonstrated ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively in field service scenarios.
- Experience with welding techniques for repairing or fabricating system components is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to support transportation needs across job sites.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Gas Fitter 2 (minimum) (required)
