Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler’s primary function is to build and assemble parts, pipe fitting, and enclosures. Handle, move, load, and unload material, mostly heavy metal, by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes in a high trafficking manufacturing environment.

Day Shift: Monday- Friday 7am- 3:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

Understand tolerances to determine assembly operations.
Assist with rigging, hoisting, moving, and aligning simple subassemblies and components to storage areas or within the worksite using overhead cranes and forklifts using established safety precautions.
Fit and assemble simple parts to build heavy industrial products and equipment according to drawings and product specifications.
Assist in installing major components such as tanks, louvers, dampers, large-scale frames, generators, insulation, soundproofing systems, and building panels using hand and power tools.
Help and report with inspection, testing, examination, and investigation of parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality and detect irregularities and malfunctions.
Install/bend mechanical tubing from engineering assembly drawings
Inspect, test, examine and investigate parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality and detect irregularities and malfunctions.
Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and participate in regular safety talks. Perform a visual inspection of equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and other tools, to ensure they are in safe working condition.

Job Specific Qualifications

Minimum 2-4 years experience in a heavy industrial equipment environment.
Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver's license.
Must have own power and hand tools.
Ability to work in high paced work environment.
