About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Sales Assistant / Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in supporting our sales and marketing efforts within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, focusing primarily on the Health Food and FDM channels.
The ideal candidate is a fast learner who understands health food and FDM retail. They thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are eager to grow with the company. Starting as a part-time position, this role offers a clear pathway to full-time employment within the next year for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Assistant / Associate, you will help maintain strong customer relationships and ensure the seamless execution of our sales strategies. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Customer Communication: Assist with calling and emailing customers to provide updates, answer enquiries, and maintain strong relationships with retail and distributor accounts.
- Promotional Organization: Organize and manage promotional calendars across FDM and Health Food channels, co-ordinating with distributors to ensure accurate, timely execution.
- Administrative Support: Prepare and manage deal sheets, new product submission forms, and other sales documentation accurately and efficiently.
- CRM Implementation and Management: Support the set-up, data migration, and ongoing management of the company’s new Customer Relationship Management system to improve account tracking and communication efficiency.
- Event Co-ordination: Assist with 3–4 weekend events per year, ensuring the brand is represented professionally and effectively.
- Scheduling: Book appointments and manage schedules for the sales team.
- Field Visits: Conduct occasional in-field visits with key customers to gather feedback, assess product placement, and strengthen partnerships.
- Market Research: Assist in gathering market intelligence and competitor analysis to support sales strategies.
- Reporting: Help compile sales reports and track performance metrics against targets.
Location and Hours: On site. Work from either our Carlisle or Puslinch Facilities, with the primary location Carlisle by end of Q4. Approximately 3 days/week. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am-4pm. (This can be flexible) with the odd weekend (1-3/year) to help with sales events.

Experience
-Minimum 2 years in sales and marketing
Industry Knowledge
-Proven CPG selling experience in Health Food and FDM channels - required

-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - essential
Organization
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and details essential
Technical
-Experience with CRM platforms (setup, use, or implementation) a- strong asset
Adaptability
-Fast learner comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment
Availability
-Willingness to work 3–4 weekends per year for events
Mobility
-Ability to travel occasionally for in-field customer visits within Ontario
