Full job description

Millwright

This is a contract position expected to run through February 2027. The role will be completed at that time due to a planned plant closure. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working within a defined project timeline and supporting key operational needs during this period.

Job Summary

Preforms direct troubleshooting maintenance work for repair, adjustment, adaptation, re-design, preventative maintenance and installation of all plant equipment, machinery and infrastructure in accordance with the objectives of the Maintenance Department, complying with TS16949

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all Safety devices are properly adjusted, in place and lockout procedures are followed. Must follow Ontario health code.
Preform Preventative maintenance activities and documentation as assigned on all equipment and machines throughout the plant in conjunction with daily production requirements
Assist and operate machines when called upon when required if and when needed for the purposes of Production requirements
Provide training and support of peers and associates as requested / required
Fabricate parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprint.
Install and commission new machinery
Repair breakdown of equipment, machinery, and building
Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Make recommendations on changes to equipment, methods or products.
Communication with Maintenance/Production Supervisors regarding equipment problems related to production
Maintain 5-S standards throughout the Plant.

Qualifications

Must be Certified Millwright Lic,443-A
Min 5 years of Millwright experience.
The ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and expedite repairs
Ability to operate and maintain CNC equipment, operator operations of start and run as well as maintain machines when needed
Ability to work in a team environment effectively and have proven ability to work independently with minimal Supervision
Must have the ability to carry out tasks in a timely manner
Must have Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Excellent experience with conventional machinery and hand tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders
MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
