Full job description

What You’ll Do

Production Duties:

Assist roofing crews with the installation and replacement of commercial roofing systems, including TPO systems
Support the installation of vapour barriers and insulation on flat roof decks
Participate in new construction and re-roofing projects
Carry, load, and transport roofing materials and tools safely

Service Duties:

Assist with roof inspections, maintenance, and repair work
Support leak investigations and minor repair activities
Help complete service calls and emergency repair work under supervision
Document basic service activities as directed

General Responsibilities:

Prepare job sites, including loading/unloading materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining cleanliness
Support the tear-off and disposal of existing roofing systems
Operate basic roofing tools and equipment as directed
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
Work collaboratively with journeypersons, forepersons, and crew members
Travel to various job sites as required

What You Bring

Previous roofing labour experience
Willingness to learn commercial roofing systems (TPO experience is an asset)
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
Valid Working at Heights Certification
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices (Ontario safety standards an asset)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites
Strong teamwork attitude and ability to take direction
A valid G driver’s license is an asset
