Full job description

Halton Vision Care in Milton is looking to grow its team!

Are you someone who has bubbly personality, eager to learn with a keen attention to detail, punctual, organized, and proactive? We are looking to hire an Optometrist/Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Receptionist Duties:

Greeting patients at reception with a friendly attitude and register them
Dealing with queries on the phone, by email and fax on a daily basis
Accurate Invoicing and Insurance billing on insurance portal
Preparing, organizing and stoirng information in paper or digital form
Scheduling/ Pre-appoint/ Re-call patients
Assisting patients in dispensing of eyeglasses/contact lenses

Optometric Assistant Duties:

Perform Pre-Testing on equipment
Disinfect touch surfaces between patients
Validation/Submission of OHIP Billing/OHIP Reconciliation
Managing patient referrals (outbound/inbound)
Sales of eyewear/contact lenses. Occasionally repairing of frames

Administrative Duties:

Organize daily sales receipts and invoices
Clearing 3rd party insurance balances
Managing Frame inventory on Shelves
Receiving/Validating/Preparing glasses jobs from the lab
Ordering Contact Lens trials
Organization of Lab with marked Trays for each job and follow-up on them
General cleanliness of the Clinic and shelves on routinely basis

Qualifications:

- Previous Optometry or Optical experience is an asset

- Detail oriented, punctual, organized, and proactive with strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and juggle between tasks

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
