Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting and financial administration for a portfolio of affiliated companies, including property management operations and real estate holding entities.
This is an opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented and takes ownership and accountability for their work. You’ll manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities and play an important role in keeping our financial records accurate, organized and up to date.

What You'll Do:

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple companies and entities.
Complete month-end closing activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
Maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Manage accounts payable and ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
Process payroll for select companies.
Prepare and submit government remittances, including HST, WSIB and source deductions.
Prepare financial reports and support financial analysis as required.
Assist with year-end working papers and preparation for corporate tax filings.
Maintain organized financial, corporate and supporting records.
Provide general accounting and administrative support across the organization as needed.

What We're Looking For:

2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting or similar experience.
Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end processes.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
Experience with payroll, government remittances and account reconciliations.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple companies, deadlines and competing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Proactive, dependable and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related field is an asset.
