Our sweet little shop has been described as “tiny but mighty”; but what we lack in size, we make up for in heart. The successful candidate will be part of the Back of House Team at Christy’s Gourmet.
Job Description:
We are looking for kitchen staff to support production, baking, packaging and other duties to join our family team. Candidates must like working in a fast paced kitchen environment while multitasking multiple roles. You will be responsible for helping produce all of our chocolates, baked goods and assisting with packaging, organizing, and cleaning.
We are a team of positive, hardworking individuals who like to have fun. We require someone with a great work ethic, fast moving and good coordination to package. Must be able to stand long duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists chocolatier and baker with daily production.
- Responsible for packaging and adhering to the proper labeling and storage of products.
- Cleaning, dishwashing, sanitizing, and restocking the kitchen
- Monitors inventory levels of kitchen ingredients.
- Utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens.
- Works with chocolatier and baker to achieve production goals.
- Complies with all health and safety guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
- Has the ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require the strength to lift items of moderate to heavy weight (up to 50lbs)
- Has the ability to be physical in the job, and stay on your feet through the shift.
- Must be able to hustle and move quickly while being safe in a kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus.
- Is able to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as recipes and operating procedures.
- Is meticulous about using exact measurements, paying strict attention to timing and working on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.
- Knowledge and experience with food safety; food handlers certificate is an asset.
- A can-do self-motivated spirit and able to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule:
- May be scheduled Monday-Sunday.
- Evenings & Weekends
- Shifts often scheduled 4pm-12 pm
- Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
