The Digital Marketing Assistant supports the Digital Performance team in improving digital marketing performance across a network of franchise locations. This is an entry-level role focused on hands-on execution — from website updates and on-page SEO to Google Business Profile management — while also helping franchise operators build the confidence and skills to handle routine digital tasks independently.
The position sits within a team that emphasizes scalable support, consistent best practices, and building operator capability across the franchise network. It is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders. You will receive structured onboarding, hands-on coaching, and broad exposure to digital marketing disciplines including SEO, local search, and paid advertising.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Execution Support
Assist the digital marketing team with day-to-day tasks, including:
- Making website content updates within CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
- Supporting basic on-page SEO tasks such as updating metadata, internal links, and content formatting
- Helping maintain and update Google Business Profiles for franchise locations
- Identifying and flagging common technical issues such as broken links, duplicate content, and indexing errors
- Assisting with network-wide updates and standardization tasks under team guidance
Operator Support
Help franchise operators get the most out of their digital presence:
- Respond to incoming support requests from operators and help triage and resolve routine queries
- Walk operators through basic digital tasks such as website edits and profile updates
- Direct operators to relevant SOPs, training materials, and self-serve resources
Resources & Documentation
- Help maintain and update SOPs, how-to guides, and training materials
- Flag recurring operator questions or issues to support continuous improvement of resources
- Assist with creating templates and reference documents for common digital tasks
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Experience in a customer service or client-facing role
- 0–1 year of experience in digital marketing, communications, or a related field (internships and co-op experience included)
- Familiarity with at least one of: WordPress or a similar CMS, Google Business Profile, basic SEO concepts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to develop new skills
Nice to have:
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Google Business Profile or local SEO
- Exposure to PPC platforms (e.g., Google Ads)

Pay: $37,500.00-$45,000.00 per year
