Rate of Pay: $41.15/hr - $58.98/hr

Qualifications:

Current Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario from College of Nurses.
Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation is required.
Current or within two years Maternal and Child experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with current Paediatric and NICU experience.
Current experience within the last two (2) years working with mothers and well babies.
Consideration will be given to candidates with, or enrolled in, Maternal Child Nursing Certificate Programs or who have other related educational preparation in Breastfeeding and NRP.
Perinatal Certificate Program or willing to complete.
Demonstrated interest and knowledge in family centred maternity care.
Demonstrated ability to function in emergency situations.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated excellence in communication skills.
Demonstrated clinical assessment and family/patient teaching skills.
Demonstrated skill and knowledge in I.V. Therapy is required.
Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability.
Experience supporting families with breastfeeding.
Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considers safety of self and co-workers.
