BioTroopers Summer STEAM Camp Volunteer Opportunity
Are you passionate about working with children, inspiring a love for biology and making a positive impact? We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our team for an exciting biology -focused STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) camp this Summer Break!
As a Camp Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the camp's daily activities, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging environment for all campers. This is a volunteer position — ideal for students, aspiring educators, or anyone looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic camp setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and engage with campers during educational and recreational activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Assist camp staff in planning and delivering age-appropriate STEAM-based lessons and games.
- Encourage campers to participate, express themselves, and build confidence in a supportive setting.
- Help set up, clean up, and maintain organization of the camp space and materials.
- Model positive behavior, teamwork, and problem-solving to support camper growth.
- Learn and follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Contribute to creating a memorable and inspiring camp experience!

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children (formal or informal) is an asset.
- Interest or background in education, science, biology, arts, or STEAM-related fields is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player who’s enthusiastic, kind, and committed to creating a positive experience for campers.
- Must be available for one week of summer camp at the minimum.
