Full job description

Our company specializes in the import and distribution of Asian and Canadian health products, traditional medicines, health foods, and medical devices. We are a privately-held, family-owned company based in Richmond BC and have proudly served the community for 35 years.

We are looking for an organized individual to join our company as the bookkeeper as we continue to grow our operation to share more high quality products to Canadians. This is a full time, long-term position located at our office in North Richmond. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits after 3 months, and most importantly, stability and longevity.

Requirements
The candidate is responsible for the accounting and finance functions of the organization, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, filings, inventory controls, and other financial/administrative duties as required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment, knowledgeable in basic tax and accounting principles, and can work independently. The candidate will also assist in improving, modernizing and/or simplifying procedures as they see fit.

Qualifications

Prior bookkeeping experience is required (Preferably with Quickbooks)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to use Microsoft Office software
Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
Able to identify priorities and work independently to complete tasks
