Full job description

InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm involved in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.

Our client, a leading service and installation organization is looking to hire Millwrights/Mechanical Installers on a project basis. This is a day shift with esach day overtime 7.00AM to 7.00PM.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily inspections of all completed installation work against approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
Verify that installations comply with engineering drawings, OEM requirements, and customer specifications.
Identify, document, and communicate deficiencies, punch list items, and non-conformances to the installation team.
Ensure all quality issues are corrected before work is signed off as complete.
Maintain detailed inspection records, QA checklists, and photographic documentation.
Conduct line-by-line and area-by-area quality audits before release for commissioning.
Verify proper alignment, leveling, torqueing, anchoring, and overall workmanship of installed equipment.
Ensure components such as belts, rollers, guards, sensors, netting, and safety devices are installed correctly and function as intended.
Coordinate with Project Management, Site Supervisors, and the customer to resolve quality concerns promptly.
Track recurring issues and provide feedback to improve installation processes and prevent repeat deficiencies.
Verify that completed work is clean, safe, and ready for handover to commissioning teams.
Participate in customer walkthroughs and assist in closing punch list items in a timely manner.
Escalate critical quality concerns immediately when they may impact schedule, safety, or commissioning.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Millwright, Mechanical Assembler, Aircraft Assembler, Tool and Die Maker, Welder and other mechanical trades are all considered.
Excellent attention to detail
Must be Available to Start Immediately
Must have own hand tools
Must have valid Fall Protection
Must have valid Elevated Work Platform

Time and a half paid after every 8-hour days, Saturdays are time and a half
