The es zúmin Primary Care Centre is a growing team of primary care professionals. Joining in the early stage of our process allows the candidate to work closely with our board of directors from all 5 southern st’at’imc nations to support this first of its kind FNPCI.

Title: Financial & Administrative Coordinator
Salary: $60,820 - $76,024 - $83,627 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Temporary term until March 31, 2027
Hours: 9am-5pm Monday - Friday(core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: es zúmin Primary Care Centre, Mount Currie, B.C. – Hybrid (50% in office)

About the role
This position provides financial, administrative, and coordination support to Operational Leaders, Managers, and the es’zumin Board of Directors. It requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while ensuring accuracy in financial tracking and reporting.
The Coordinator delivers administrative, office management, and technical support across initiatives, ensuring efficient and seamless operations. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to liaise effectively and respectfully with Elders, Board members, internal teams, and external partners.
The role supports collaboration, information sharing, and problem-solving, contributing to the development and implementation of systems, processes, and procedures. Experience within systems-level healthcare is an asset.
Working closely with internal teams, the Coordinator ensures compliance with policies, directives, funding frameworks, and budget strategies, maintaining standardized processes and timelines to support consistency, accountability, and accuracy.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)

A Certificate or Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in accounting, finance, business administration or commerce is a requirement.

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (ASSET – NOT REQUIRED TO COMPLETE)

2 to 5 years of related specialized experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential information and matters in a trusted and responsible manner
Experience developing and maintaining administrative systems, processes and procedures

Knowledge and Ability

Thorough knowledge of the current First Nations health governance landscape in BC.
Uses sound judgment to make good decisions based on information gathered and analyzed. Considers all pertinent facts and alternatives before deciding on the most appropriate action. Commits to decision.
Analyzes problem by gathering and organizing all relevant information. Identifies cause and effect relationships. Comes up with appropriate solutions with minimal supervision.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
