We're looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and support a wide range of HR activities across our Packaging Services Business Unit. This hands-on role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and supporting HR programs and initiatives that enhance the colleague experience. Recruitment is a key focus during hiring periods, while at other times the role supports onboarding, employee lifecycle activities, and day-to-day HR operations for colleagues and leaders.

What You’ll Be Accountable For:
Recruitment & New Hire Experience
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for hourly plant and office positions, and support recruitment for other roles as assigned.
- Create job postings, screen resumes, conduct initial candidate screening and interviews, prepare offer letters, and manage background checks.
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
- Participate in job fairs and community recruitment events to support talent attraction efforts.
- Coordinate all onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
- Coordinate medical assessments, benefits and retirement savings enrollment sessions, and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain onboarding materials and supplies to ensure a smooth new hire experience.
Colleague Experience & HR Support
- Support colleague engagement and recognition initiatives, including service awards, celebrations, and workplace events.
- Support HR communications and annual training rollouts, including tracking completion and follow-up.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to colleagues and leaders, responding to inquiries and escalating as required.
- Assist with resignation and retirement administration, including documentation, exit interviews, and coordination with Payroll and other departments.
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate colleague records and HR/HSE files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare HR documentation, including performance-related correspondence and other employee communications.
- Support HR and HSE projects, audits, process improvements, and HR initiatives.
- Assist with disability claims coordination and return-to-work support in partnership with the Senior HR Business Partner.
- Manage relationships with external vendors such as recruitment agencies and other service providers.
- Support employer branding materials, internal communications boards, and facility postings.
What you’ll bring
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
- 2+ years of HR experience, including hands-on recruitment and onboarding experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, or hourly workforce environments is an asset.
- Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Confidence working with colleagues and leaders at all levels.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of employment legislation (ESA, Human Rights Code).

Total Rewards
We’re offering competitive compensation in the range of $52,500 - $65,000 per year. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
