Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Machinery Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, dump trucks, stone-slinger, etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with equipment and automotive repair, and the ability to work with various tools and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse machinery in a dynamic environment, ensuring optimal operational performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble and reassemble machinery
Operate heavy equipment for testing or calibration purposes when necessary
Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Assist with installation or upgrade of new machinery components
Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and recommendations effectively

Experience

Proven mechanic experience working with heavy machinery, dump trucks or equipment
Familiarity with heavy machinery
Skilled in automotive and heavy machinery repair, electrical systems and mechanical assembly
Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and performing heavy lifting tasks safely
Knowledge of maintenance procedures for industrial equipment and heavy equipment operation is preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role

Pay: $23.61-$48.85 per hour
