What Is The Opportunity?

Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician will be responsible for preventative/corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of systems, and diagnosing/repairs of drill rigs, piling equipment and earthmoving construction equipment. The Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician will be based out of our Cambridge, Ontario shop.

What You'll Do Here:

Ensures all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulations are being adhered to.
Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures.
Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery parts in a safe manner.
Inspect and examine equipment.
Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain equipment.
Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault codes.
Performing hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
Experience maintaining and repairing: cranes, pilling drill rigs and Earthmoving construction equipment
Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues.
Making repairs according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required.
Initiative, diligence and reliability.
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Other duties as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

5+ years of experience as a Red Seal Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A).
Experience repairing cranes and pilling drill rigs is considered a strong asset.
Valid driver's license
Must Comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirements.
Fewer than 6 demerit points on driver’s abstract.
Excellent mechanical knowledge.
Physically fit, heavy lifting required.

Hourly Wage - $46.00 - $56.00 per hour
