Company description

We are a small, thriving professional accounting firm in Calgary serving a range of small and medium sized clients. We have a strong focus on excellence in client service—this position will appeal to a like-minded individual. We provide financial statements, tax returns (corporate, individual, trust/estate and NPO), assurance, tax and accounting and advisory services for individual, corporate and NPO clients.

Job description

Primary responsibilities will include bookkeeping for clients, including recording client investment transactions. Quickbooks and Simply software is used.

· Preparation of schedules for working papers and financial statements

. Doing bookkeeping of various clients using softwares and excel.

. Perform corporate work including working papers and financial statements, income tax, GST and other returns, and client internal reporting.

· Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns (training provided)

· Longer hours from March through to May/June, with reduced summer hours.

· Administrative responsibilities required

Qualification:

1-2 years experience in bookkeeping.

Proficient written and oral English.

Familiarity with Caseware, Tax cycle, profile, QB and Sage is a must.

Experience doing bookkeeping is a must.

Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner—strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task will be an asset.

Experience working in a public firm will be considered an asset

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
