Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated BIM Specialist to join our dynamic Modular Prefabrication team. As a BIM Specialist at Kassian Dyck & Associates, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and maintenance of Building Information Models (BIM) using Tekla and other modeling softwares like Revit and AutoCAD,. Your expertise will help us optimize project efficiency, reduce errors, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions, including production manufacturing drawings and construction plans for a wide range of projects, including designing and creating solutions for prefabricated construction.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and maintain BIM models
- Utilize your estimating skills to provide accurate cost projections and budgetary information for construction projects, ranging from prefab residential to large-scale precast concrete.
- Design and create solutions for prefabricated construction, producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, renderings, production manufacturing drawings, and construction plans customized for various project scales, including producing design and manufacturing drawings.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of BIM models by coordinating and managing data across various disciplines.
- Conduct clash detection and resolution to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards and workflows to improve team productivity.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues and future employees on BIM software usage and best practices.

Qualifications:

-Experience with Tekla is an important asset but not mandatory.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for 2D and 3D modeling and drafting
-Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards, and workflows.
-Estimating skills for accurate project cost projections across a wide range of project scales.
-Familiarity with Tekla, other BIM software, and tools relevant to construction is preferred.
-Highly proficient in detail-oriented work with excellent problem-solving skills.
-Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
-Engineering Degree or Diploma in Technology from a Technology Institute.
-Experience with use of VR/AR/MR or rendering software preferred.
