What You'll Do
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations that support informed business decisions.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, and growth projections.
- Support long-term financial planning and organizational scalability.
- Participate in leadership discussions regarding expansion opportunities, investments, acquisitions, and risk management.
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Lead full-cycle accounting across multiple entities.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Monitor cash flow and overall financial performance.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and payments.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership.
- Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop meaningful key performance indicators and financial dashboards.
- Drive financial accountability across the organization.
Payroll, Benefits & People Operations Support
- Oversee payroll administration and related compliance requirements.
- Support employee benefits, retirement programs, and compensation administration.
- Collaborate with People and Culture to enhance payroll, benefits, and employee systems.
- Evaluate and implement HRIS, payroll, and financial technologies that support growth.
Compliance, Tax & Risk Management
- Manage corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including Canada and the United States.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, legal advisers, and financial consultants.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Systems, Process Improvement & Growth
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes, workflows, policies, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
- Lead finance-related system implementations and improvements.
- Build scalable financial infrastructure for a rapidly growing organization.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support succession planning and professional development.
- Build a finance function capable of supporting the organization through its next stage of growth.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounting operations.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Experience leading and developing a finance or accounting team.
- Advanced Excel, financial modelling, and analytical skills.
- Strong business acumen, judgement, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation.
- Experience in a growing entrepreneurial, technology, consulting, or professional services organization.
- Multi-entity and cross-border accounting experience.
- Project costing and project-based accounting experience.
- Experience operating in Canadian and U.S. business environments.
- Experience implementing or optimizing accounting, payroll, ERP, or HRIS systems.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $110,000 - $130,000 annually.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday.
