Job Summary

Eight, ranked no. 2 in the 2026 North America's 50 Best, is looking for a second Server who would like to become a heart of the dining experience! In this energetic role, you will deliver exceptional guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will create memorable moments that keep guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling and kitchen experience standards
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service

Requirements

WSET Level 2 or 3 certificate
Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, with a strong understanding of the food industry standards
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for order accuracy, billing, and cash handling
Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Experience in serving or hospitality roles that demonstrate guest service excellence
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
