Full job description

Our client, a well-established General Contractor from BC, is expanding into the Calgary market and is seeking a Project Manager to lead this growth. Known for delivering high-end Tenant Improvement and New Construction projects across the Financial, Corporate Office, Education, Childcare, Restaurant, and Government sectors, this firm is committed to doing construction differently — leading with innovation, technology, and a people-first culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead internal project teams, including Site Superintendents and Project Coordinators.
Manage project startup activities, including issuing contracts, insurance, bonds, and WCB notices.
Oversee project documentation using Procore and related platforms, including cost coding, submittals, schedules, and change orders.
Manage subtrades and suppliers, resolving issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
Partner with Site Superintendents to deliver quality results on schedule and on budget.
Act as the primary client liaison, meeting with architects, consultants, and clients to manage project issues and relationships.
Monitor and manage project budgets, identifying opportunities to control costs and reporting regularly to management.
Prepare monthly progress claims and review subtrade/supplier invoicing.
Take the lead in building new client and industry relationships in the Calgary market.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial tenant improvement construction as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
Post-secondary technical education in construction or a related field.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and financial reporting with precision.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
Willingness to travel to sites across Alberta as needed.
