Full job description

Chief Medical Supplies, a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is currently looking for a Production/Packaging Assistant to assist in the manufacture (weighing, mixing and packaging) of product, and maintenance of the compounding, production and storage areas in a clean, sanitary and well-organized condition. We are looking for a collaborative and adaptable person who is effective with time management and has a positive attitude. This team player should be hard working and dependable.

Duties:

· Transport raw materials, fished products and equipment throughout our facility manually or using powered equipment;

· Check and weigh materials and products;

· Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products;

· Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers;

· Perform other labouring and elemental activities;

· Clean machine and immediate work areas;

· Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

· Observe the company Health and Safety policy and your role within it.

· Other related duties as assigned.

Additional requirements:

Applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Some knowledge of basic chemistry is an asset.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must be physically fit, and free from communicable diseases.
Ability to manage your time efficiently.
Work well when supervisors are not present.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Desirable: WHMIS, First Aid, Forklift training.

Work conditions and physical capabilities of applicants: fast-paced environment; work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching and kneeling; manual dexterity; Hand-eye coordination; Noisy/Odours work site environment.

Salary of $16.50/hour (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm) 35 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour
