About Our Client

Our client is a boutique, entrepreneurial law firm with a strong reputation for delivering strategic legal solutions to entrepreneurs, private companies, and high-net-worth individuals. Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support its Corporate & Tax practice group in Calgary on a 1-month contract.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client communications, preparing legal and corporate documentation, coordinating transactional files, and supporting day-to-day practice operations in a professional and fast-paced environment.

About the Opportunity

Prepare, edit, and format corporate and tax-related legal documentation
Assist with incorporations, reorganizations, amalgamations, and other corporate transactions
Maintain and organize minute books and corporate records
Manage client intake processes and prepare engagement documentation
Coordinate client meetings, signing appointments, and consultations
Draft, proofread, edit, and format legal documentation using advanced Microsoft Word functionality
Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files
Coordinate calendars, meetings, and conference calls
Arrange couriers and filing of legal documentation as required
Provide exceptional client service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

About You

Legal Administrative Assistant diploma required (SAIT or equivalent accredited institution preferred)
6–8+ years of experience supporting a Corporate and/or Tax law practice within a law firm
Experience preparing and managing corporate legal documentation and minute books
Strong understanding of corporate transactions and legal documentation processes
Advanced Microsoft Word and document formatting skills
Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management abilities
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines
High attention to detail and professional judgment
Experience supporting entrepreneurs, private companies, or high-net-worth clients is an asset
Experience within a boutique or mid-sized law firm environment is an asset
