Full job description

Part time Physiotherapist wanted for busy, well-established, growing, multi-disciplinary wellness clinic 2-3 days a week.

The OPPORTUNITY: Be a part of a care focused team of professionals with opportunity for growth and development.

The TEAM: an experienced team of chiropractors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists who enjoy working in a fun, supportive, and collaborative team environment.

THE CLINIC: A new facility with all the equipment needed to provide an optimal standard of care; modalities including Cold Laser, Shockwave, GameReady cold therapy, hydro collators; rehab area with equipment; a comprehensive suite of services including IMS, TCM, ART, manual therapy, massage therapy including hot stone, orthotics, chiropractic, sports therapy.

YOU: a self-starter who is a team player with a positive attitude that believes in putting the needs of the client and the team first; committed to constant learning and development; is able to assess, diagnose and create comprehensive treatment plans for a broad variety of client concerns; understands that relationships are at the core of what we do and is able to motivate and support clients to achieve their goals.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ conditions, determine diagnoses, develop comprehensive treatment plans, motivate and support clients to recovery including monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Educate clients and their families about rehabilitation exercises and self-care strategies
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive client care
Maintain accurate documentation of client treatments and progress
Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and techniques

THE REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
A valid license with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta (CPTA)
Experience or training in pediatrics (preferred)
A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Commitment to providing a high standard of client care and to continuous professional growth and development
