Duties

Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed.
Support the catering and banquet teams by providing clean dishware and assisting with setup or cleanup during events.
Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing stations, including sinks, counters, and storage areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Bypass or troubleshoot dishwashing machinery as necessary to ensure continuous operation during busy service hours.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth food service operations by bussing tables or clearing plates when appropriate.
Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food safety regulations related to dishwashing and kitchen sanitation.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy trays or loads of dishes.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
