Position Title: Food Services Team Leader Assistant
Position Type: Full Time - Permanent

Chinook Care Centre | Calgary, AB T2V4Y8, CAN
Southwood Care Centre | Calgary, AB T2H1M9, CAN
Hours of Work: 09:00-17:00 (3 days at Chinook Care Center & 2 days at Southwood Care Center)
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Food Services Team Leader (FSTL), the Food Services Team Leader Assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the FSTL with the day-to-day operations, supervision and management of the Food Services Department. The incumbent will work in partnership with the FSTL on: 1) implementing therapeutic interventions to address nutritional needs of facility residents; 2) implementation of quality dietetic services for facility residents; 3) ensuring the provision of food services that are of the highest possible quality and demonstrate value to Intercare and all our customers. With the FSTL, the incumbent will provide leadership and hands-on assistance to ensure all aspects of food services are planned, organized, delivered, and evaluated in accordance with Intercare's mission, vision, values and strategic plan. The incumbent works in close partnership with the facility’s Dietitian and other managers and staff to assist in maximizing the performance of individuals, teams and the organization as a whole in providing the best possible customer service to our residents, families, guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Brings a caring, compassionate and empathetic approach while having an ability to lead a team in providing a unique and meaningful dining experience for residents each and every meal.
- Successful completion of a recognized Food and Nutrition Management program and/or a Hospitality Management program or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized Food Safe course.
- A minimum of two - five years management experience, preferable within a long term care environment, and inclusive of Food Services Management.
- Previous experience in institutional/commercial cooking an asset
