We have been retained to conduct an executive search for a Vice President, Client Services on behalf of an established, full-service digital marketing agency based in Western Canada.

About the Agency:

Our client is an independent, performance-focused digital agency with dual-office presence in Western Canada. Built around the belief that true business impact outweighs vanity metrics, the agency integrates brand strategy, performance media buying, creative execution, and advanced data analytics to drive measurable ROI for clients.

They offer a collaborative, flexible hybrid work model built around cross-functional teamwork, professional development, and long-term career growth.

We are open to candidates located within Western Canada (BC to Saskatchewan)

About the Role

We are looking for a Vice President, Client Services to lead our account teams, deepen client relationships, and elevate our client service delivery.

In this role, you will manage a team of account managers, oversee portfolio health across multiple high-value accounts, cultivate senior-level partner relationships, and mentor team members to support their career development.

You will thrive in this role if you are a highly articulate communicator who brings calm confidence to high-stakes situations. You know how to navigate difficult conversations with grace, take tough feedback without taking it personally, and always bring actionable solutions to the table.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Account Oversight: You maintain high-level oversight across multiple accounts while also serving as the executive sponsor and trusted advisor on key client relationships.
People Leadership: You lead, mentor, and develop a team of high performing account managers. You excel at bringing people up in their careers, building their skills, and getting the best performance out of diverse personality types.
Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration: You’ll work seamlessly with internal teams and external agency partners. You foster an egoless, highly collaborative environment focused on overall project success.
Outcome-Focused Strategy: You’ll ensure that account strategies deliver real, meaningful business results. You consistently drive deeper client growth, retention, and tangible business impact.
Vendor & Contractor Oversight: You’ll manage external partners, vendors, and contractors from an administrative and financial perspective; ensuring quality, accountability, and profitability.

What You’ll Bring

10+ Years in Client Services: You have extensive, progressive experience in client services, account management, or strategic planning within an agency setting.
Proven Management Track Record: You have proven experience managing and developing a high functioning team.
Exceptional Communication: You have outstanding written communication and presentation abilities. You can articulate complex strategic ideas with clarity for a wide range of audiences.
Strong Interpersonal Agility: You have a deep ability to connect with diverse client personalities and extract top-tier work from team members across different skill sets and communication styles.
Resilience under Fire: You have high emotional intelligence and conflict-management skills. You stay composed during tough conversations, accept feedback without taking it personally, and focus on solution-oriented execution.
Financial Acumen: You have experience managing vendor and contractor budgets, profitability, and administrative oversight.
Tech-Curious Mindset: You are proficient with core productivity and project management tools. You are curious about technology and eager to explore smarter, more efficient ways of working.

Pay Range

The approximate salary range for this position is listed below. Actual salaries will vary based on final role leveling, relevant experience, and geographic location. Total compensation also includes competitive health and dental benefits, generous PTO, and other perks.

A significant performance bonus and profit-sharing opportunities will directly reward your contributions.

$115,000 – $135,000 CAD
