Full job description

Lead the team that keeps critical compression equipment running. We're looking for an experienced Service Manager who can support customers, mentor technicians, and drive operational excellence across Northern Alberta and BC. Reporting to the VP of Production & Service, the Service Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the Northern Service Division, including operations, personnel, customer relationships, safety, and profitability.

What You’ll Be Doing – and Why It Matters:

Lead and support Lead Technicians, Startup & Commissioning personnel, Service Sales, and Shop personnel
Manage daily service operations, and technician utilization
Develop strong relationships with customers
Support business development efforts and identify opportunities to grow service revenue & build long term Customer relationships through collaborative partnership
Recruit, mentor, and retain top technical talent
Work closely with inside Sales, Projects, Production, and Parts teams to ensure seamless customer support
Support warranty administration and product support activities
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Monitor operational and financial performance including utilization, margins, invoicing, and service KPIs
Maintain a strong safety culture with a Target Zero commitment

What You Bring:

5+ years of progressive experience in natural gas compression, including field service, operations, maintenance, supervisory, or service leadership roles.
Experience working with major engine and compression platforms and all industry-standard equipment, and Strong Technical Knowledge.
Demonstrated success leading field service teams, building customer relationships, managing budgets, and delivering operational and financial results.
Experience supporting equipment reliability programs, compressor optimization initiatives, emissions reduction strategies, and preventative maintenance programs.
A hands-on leader who can effectively balance technician support, customer expectations, business objectives, and day-to-day operational demands.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
