Commercial Project Plumber Foreman / Supervisor

Chisholm Industries Ltd. is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Plumber Foreman / Supervisor to join our growing Construction Projects Division. As a hands-on leader, you will oversee commercial plumbing installations, coordinate field personnel, maintain project schedules, and ensure the highest standards of safety and workmanship on our construction sites.

Position Summary

The Commercial Project Plumber Foreman / Supervisor is responsible for leading plumbing crews on commercial and institutional construction projects. This role serves as the primary field representative for plumbing installations and works closely with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate journeyperson plumbers and apprentices on construction projects.
Plan daily and weekly work activities to meet project schedules and milestones.
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Ensure installations comply with applicable building codes, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
Lead safety meetings and maintain strict adherence to company and site safety requirements.
Mentor and develop apprentices and junior tradespeople.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, consultants, and site supervisors.
Monitor labour productivity and manage project resources responsibly.
Maintain accurate records including field reports, progress updates, and material tracking.

Qualifications

Required

Journeyperson Plumber Certification.
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction plumbing experience.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience.
Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and installations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred

Experience with commercial, institutional and healthcare projects.
Experience with project scheduling and manpower planning.
First Aid Certification.
CSTS, WHMIS, and other site-specific safety certifications.
