Full job description

Our ideal candidate:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant to join our team at a busy heavy duty mechanic shop in SE Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting & intake of customers
Handle incoming & outgoing queries from internal (shop) and external (vendors & customers) via phone, email or in person
Receive, track, dispense & manage inventories of parts
Picking up & delivering parts as required, utilizing shop truck
Create parts replenishment lists and report to management
Perform inventory counts, monthly & quarterly
General organization & housekeeping of all departments
Shop & administrative assistance, as required

Job Requirements Include:

Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
Highly organized with attention to detail
Proficiency with computer systems and software for inventory management and order processing
Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced workplace – answering large volumes of calls while simultaneously helping mechanics & admin staff
Time management and problem-solving skills when under pressure
Ability to calculate in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Can troubleshoot and problem solve - analyzing and resolving service issues promptly and professionally
Excellent communication skills, is fluent in English – both written & oral
Capable of moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds
Ability to quickly learn about internal company processes, parts and components

Our Ideal Candidate:

Related experience in a heavy duty/industrial environment would be an asset
Fullbay Shop Management software experience an asset
Possess a strong sense of urgency, is a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload
Exhibits initiative and requires little no supervision once training process complete
