Executive Assistant / Junior Accountant

About the Role

We are a growing Calgary-based oil & gas company looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant / Junior Accountant.

This is a hands-on role combining executive support, office administration, and basic accounting. You will work closely with management and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a growing oil & gas company.

New graduates and candidates with limited experience are welcome to apply. We value a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Executive Support

· Provide day-to-day support to executives and management

· Manage calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and correspondence

· Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and meeting materials

· Maintain corporate records, files, contracts, and other documentation

· Coordinate office supplies, vendors, and general office administration

· Assist with corporate, regulatory, and other administrative requirements

· Handle confidential information and other special projects as required

Accounting Support

· Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable and receivable

· Prepare payments, EFTs, and cheques

· Enter accounting transactions and maintain accurate records

· Assist with bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations

· Assist with month-end procedures, GST, and financial reporting

· Maintain vendor and customer records

· Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for management and external accountants

Oil & Gas Support

· Assist with administrative and accounting activities related to oil & gas operations

· Maintain vendor, property, well, and operational records

· Assist with JIB and other industry-related documentation

· Coordinate with vendors, consultants, accountants, and field operators

Qualifications

· Education in Accounting, Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field is an asset

· Previous administrative or accounting experience is an asset, but not required

· Mandarin is a plus

· New graduates are encouraged to apply

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Basic understanding of accounting principles is an asset

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

· Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities

· Oil & gas or accounting software experience is an asset, but not required
