Position Summary
CanaDream is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Administrative Assistant to support our Operations Support Manager in keeping our national day-to-day office operations running smoothly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks such as filing, data entry, internal communications, and document preparation.
- Mail & Courier Handling: Help receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare and track outgoing shipments.
- Office Supplies: Monitor inventory and assist with ordering, organising and distributing supplies.
- Uniform Coordination: Organize, track, distribute, and maintain the documentation of staff uniforms.
- Event Support: Coordinate office social events and activities and assist in arranging and organizing corporate level events.
- Travel Assistance: Assist with booking travel and tracking related expenses.
- Fleet Support: Provide support for fleet movements and monitor related expenses.
- Team Collaboration: Support team members to support various projects and tasks as requested
- Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma required; post-secondary coursework in Business Administration is an asset.
- 1–2 years of experience in an office or customer service environment preferred.
- Medium to high proficiency in current Microsoft Office applications, with strong familiarity using internet based tools and systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask is critical.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role with regular interaction with staff and guests.
- Use of computers and office equipment required.
- Some heavy lifting may be required- up to 20lbs
- May involve repetitive tasks and extended periods of sitting and standing.
- Occasional overtime may be requested.
