We are seeking dedicated and passionate Early Childhood professionals to join our team in roles ranging from Level 1, 2, and 3 Early Childhood Educators.
All team members share a core responsibility: creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Depending on certification level and role, responsibilities may include direct classroom teaching, program planning, team leadership, and centre-wide management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Child Care & Education (All Levels and Roles)
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and centre philosophy.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
- Lead activities that promote:
- Social-emotional development (sharing, cooperation, emotional regulation)
- Language and literacy (stories, songs, communication skills)
- Numeracy (counting, basic math concepts)
- Fine and gross motor skills (arts, outdoor play, movement)
- Observe and assess children’s progress and behaviors on an ongoing basis and share relevant information with parents and the team.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities, materials, and routines under guidance from leadership and/or specialists.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with children, families, and colleagues to promote a positive, collaborative environment.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families by providing regular updates and responding to questions or concerns.
Documentation, Records & Technology
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development, attendance, incidents, and classroom activities using computer systems and educational software.
- Follow centre procedures for documentation, reporting, and communication.
Classroom & Centre Management
- Support daily routines, including arrivals, departures, mealtimes, naps, outdoor play, and transitions.
- Implement positive behavior guidance strategies consistent with centre policies and licensing regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Monitor the classroom and indoor/outdoor environments for safety and cleanliness; report or address hazards promptly.
Additional Responsibilities for Level 3, Assistant Director & Director
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 educators and support staff.
- Assist with or lead program planning, curriculum enhancement, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Help develop, implement, and review centre policies and procedures in line with licensing and accreditation standards.
Additional Responsibilities for Assistant Director
- Support the Director with:
- Staff scheduling and coverage planning
- Orientation and support of new staff
- Day-to-day problem-solving and decision-making in the centre
- Act as the designate in charge when the Director is off-site or unavailable, as per centre policy.
- Assist with family communication, tours, and enrollment-related tasks when required.
Additional Responsibilities for Director
- Provide overall leadership and management of the centre, ensuring compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee staffing, including hiring, coaching, performance feedback, and discipline in accordance with centre policy and employment standards.
- Lead program quality, curriculum direction, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain positive relationships with families, licensing officers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Manage administrative and operational tasks, which may include budgeting, reporting, enrollment management, and regulatory submissions.
Qualifications & Experience
Because this posting covers multiple positions, requirements vary by ECE Level and Leadership Role.
For Level 1 Early Childhood Educator
- Holds or is eligible for Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification (as per provincial standards).
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is an asset, but not strictly required.
- Interest in learning about early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to follow established routines and guidance from senior staff.
- Basic comfort with computers for recordkeeping and communication.
For Level 2 Early Childhood Educator
- Holds Level 2 Early Childhood Educator certification (diploma or equivalent as defined by the province).
- Previous experience working directly with children in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of child development, early learning frameworks, and positive guidance strategies.
- Ability to plan and facilitate activities that are developmentally appropriate and engaging.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time, small groups, and classroom routines.
For Level 3 Early Childhood Educator
- Holds Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification (advanced diploma/degree or equivalent, as defined by the province).
- Significant experience in early childhood education, including lead educator or room lead responsibilities.
- Proven ability to:
- Develop and implement curriculum plans
- Mentor and support other staff
- Collaborate with families and external professionals
- Strong leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
For Assistant Director
- Holds Level 1, 2, or 3 Early Childhood Educator certification .
- 2-3 years of experience as an ECE in a licensed centre, including classroom leadership.
- Demonstrated skills in:
- Team collaboration and mentorship
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Supporting daily operations and decision-making
- Strong written and verbal communication; confident in speaking with families, staff, and external agencies.
- Proficient in computer operation and administrative tasks (scheduling, emails, basic documents, and record systems).
For Director
- Holds Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification.
- 3-4 years of experience in early childhood education, including leadership or management roles (e.g., Assistant Director, Program Supervisor, or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Licensing regulations and compliance
- Program standards and quality frameworks
- Staff supervision, performance management, and HR basics
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including record keeping, communication tools, and basic reporting.
Preferred / Asset Qualifications (For All Levels & Roles)
- English required.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs.
- Training in first aid/CPR, child guidance, inclusive practices, or health & safety.
