Part-Time Infant Nanny / Mother's Helper
Location: Southeast Calgary, AB
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: OFF
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Children: Newborn (some care for toddler sibling periodically may be requested)
About the Opportunity:
Nannies on Board is recruiting on behalf of a lovely family in Southeast Calgary seeking an experienced, nurturing, and proactive Infant Nanny / Mother's Helper to integrate into their family. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys caring for infants while also providing practical household support in a loving family home.
This position offers approximately 20 hours per week with one family, along with the potential for additional part-time or casual placements through our agency for candidates seeking extra hours.
Responsibilities:
Newborn Care
- Provide attentive, loving care for an infant
- Support feeding, diapering, naps, and age-appropriate developmental activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment
- Follow family routines and parenting preferences
- Monitor and respond to the infant's needs throughout the day
Household Support
- Meal preparation for the family
- Children's laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
- Light housekeeping
- Tidying children's areas, the kitchen, and common family spaces
- Assisting with family-related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous infant-care experience is required
- Nursing, medical, doula, healthcare, postpartum support, or related experience/credentials is strongly preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to be attained)
- Excellent professional references
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be warm, dependable, and confident caring for infants. They will enjoy supporting families, have a keen eye for household needs and be comfortable balancing childcare responsibilities with light household duties.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
