Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Financial Controller to oversee and manage our company's financial activities on a contractual or hourly basis. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting software and a solid understanding of financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting. Duties
- Manage and oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
- Conduct account reconciliations regularly to verify the integrity of financial data
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or other relevant platforms for data entry and reporting
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing detailed financial insights and forecasts
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies related to financial transactions
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
