About us

Master Pools Alta specializes in the design and construction of commercial and municipal aquatic facilities. Working throughout Western Canada, we partner with bid-spec and design-build Contractors, and Construction Managers build the largest swimming pool structures and mechanical systems.

Master Pools Alta Ltd is currently hiring 3rd and 4th-year plumbing apprentices and journeymen for projects in the Calgary area, Edmonton area and central BC area.

These involve the construction of large-diameter PVC piping systems, and associated filtration, heating, and chemical treatment equipment.

Previous aquatics-specific experience is not necessary. The successful candidate will possess PVC plumbing experience, and demonstrate excellent mechanical room layout ability and workmanship, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work and travel as part of a crew, and act professionally in a commercial job-site setting, is also necessary. An interest in pool tank construction is considered an asset.

We offer a salary is $26.00-$36.00 / hour (higher for Red Seal Plumbers) to start based on experience and qualifications, as well as Health benefits, overtime, and performance bonus. We encourage, and offer the opportunity to produce, professional and high-quality work in a team environment. We work exclusively on commercial projects, and emphasize quality over quantity.
