Full job description

As Western Canada’s leading online grocery delivery service, we champion healthy eating, sustainable farming practices, local food sourcing, and the reduction of food waste, powered by a highly automated, customized order and delivery system.

About The Role:

We are looking for a casual, permanent, Delivery Team Member to join our team. Shifts will vary between 2:00- 10:00 pm Sunday- Friday.

What You'll Do:

Safely sort, load, transport, and deliver goods to and from warehouses and client locations in a timely and professional manner.
Follow assigned delivery routes, customer notes, and special instructions to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Complete vehicle inspections (pre- and post-trip), and ensure the cab and cargo area are clean, organized, and safe.
Review and verify purchase orders before departure and upon delivery to confirm accuracy.
Pick up and return empty bins, milk bottles, freezer bags, and ice packs from customers.
Provide excellent customer service during every delivery—be the friendly and reliable face of Spud.
Load/unload goods using pallet jacks, carts, and other equipment (training provided as needed).
Report and document any delivery discrepancies, customer concerns, or incidents promptly
Additional duties as required.

What You Bring:

A non-graduated, valid Driver’s License with a reasonably clean driving abstract.
Experience driving larger delivery vehicles.
Ability to comfortably drive around Calgary in all types of weather, displaying excellent driving skills.
Must have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in changing schedules and environments.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift and stand, walk, bend, and crouch for extended periods.
Must be comfortable and able to sit for long durations of time, while driving.
Must be comfortable and able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including cold environments. Removing snow from van, and digging your van out of snow, or assisting others may be required.
