Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team on the Day Shift at our Portland Street location. This role is vital in supporting manufacturing, construction, and ductwork projects through expert welding and fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems to ensure high-quality work and safety compliance. Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including steel and aluminum, adhering to detailed schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and schematics to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Rigging materials and components for assembly or installation using cranes or forklifts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, machining, and construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize fabrication processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Welder with proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing, construction, or ductwork projects.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with rigging operations using cranes or forklifts; certification preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of schematics related to manufacturing or construction processes.
- Ability to work safely around machinery and adhere to all safety regulations; welding certifications are a plus.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions throughout the workday. Pay: $41.00 per hour
