Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Yoga and/or Pilates Instructor to join our wellness team. We run a puppy yoga studio called Purely Paws Yoga in the KW region. The ideal candidate will lead engaging low intensity, but energetic classes and promote a positive environment. This role offers an opportunity to inspire others through the practice of movement while fostering a supportive community atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Lead group and private fitness classes tailored around the puppies - low intensity
Demonstrate proper techniques and postures, ensuring safety and effectiveness
Provide clear instructions and modifications to accommodate all participants
Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages mindfulness and relaxation
Monitor class participants and offer personalized guidance when needed
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the yoga studio before and after classes
Promote upcoming classes, workshops, and wellness events to clients
Stay updated on the latest yoga trends, techniques, and health guidelines

Requirements

Proven experience as an Instructor with relevant certifications (you will be asked to send these to us along with proper insurance for teaching)
Strong teaching skills with excellent communication skills
Ability to effectively manage time during classes
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Demonstrated leadership qualities to motivate and inspire students
Ability to adapt instruction for diverse audiences and skill levels
Passion for health, wellness, and helping others achieve their fitness goals

Hours

3-6 hours weekly (2-4 consecutive classes in a day example 11am-3pm)
Pop-up events can happen with short notice if studio areas become available
Willing to commute to Conestogo

Pay

30.00$ an hour

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (required)
