TA MISSION

L’intervenant est responsable de la supervision des jeunes sous sa responsabilité. Le titulaire doit démontrer de la maturité, de la patience et jouer un rôle modèle en adhérant au code éthique et les meilleures pratiques du domaine d’intervention.

Sous la responsabilité du Directeur de centre, l’intervenant a comme responsabilités d’assurer l’éducation et la rééducation des usagers selon les programmes d’intervention établis, en vue de la réadaptation de l’individu et de sa réinsertion dans la société. Il applique des techniques d’éducation en utilisant les actes de la vie quotidienne, en organisant, coordonnant et animant les activités prévues au programme de l’unité de vie, pour assurer l’apprentissage et l’acquisition d’attitudes et de comportements adéquats.

TON QUOTIDIEN

Assurer que la qualité des soins donnés est adéquate et conforme aux politiques et procédures en vigueur dans l’organisme
Accueillir et intégrer l’usager dans l’unité de vie, selon la procédure établie
Collaborer à l’évaluation de l’ensemble des besoins des usagers
Observe et analyse le comportement des usagers
Participe à l’évaluation de leurs besoins et de leurs capacités et note leur évolution en rédigeant les documents appropriés
Évaluer l’environnement de l’usager afin qu’il corresponde à ses besoins et qu’il favorise sa réadaptation et son bien-être
Contribuer à l’élaboration des plans d’intervention
Participer à la poursuite des objectifs thérapeutiques individuels, tels que déterminés au plan d’intervention
Organiser et animer des activités de réadaptation en fonction des besoins des usagers et selon les normes et procédures établies
Participer à la réadaptation des usagers à travers les moments de la vie quotidienne
Accompagner l’usager à l’extérieur de l’établissement, s’il y a lieu
Rédiger des rapports d’observation, des rapports d’évaluation et des synthèses de comportement
Participer à l’orientation et la formation du nouveau personnel et des stagiaires
Accomplir toute autre tâche connexe à la demande de son supérieur immédiat

TES COMPÉTENCES

Détenir un diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) relatif au poste ou posséder un diplôme universitaire en toxicomanie (ou être en voie de l’obtenir)
Posséder 1 à 2 ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire
Expérience pertinente auprès d’une clientèle avec des problèmes de dépendance, dans un milieu communautaire ou une communauté thérapeutique.
Bilingue: français et anglais (parlé et écrit)
Avoir une formation de premier secours valide
Posséder de l’expérience en intervention et en gestion de crise
Avoir des aptitudes démarquées dans les relations interpersonnelles et dans le travail d’équipe

TON HORAIRE ET TES AVANTAGES

Type de poste : permanent, temps plein, 37.5 heures par semaine
Horaire : Quart de jour - lundi au vendredi

YOUR MISSION

Under the supervision of the Centre Director and the Admissions Coordinator, the Intake Counsellor manages all activities related to data collection, service requests and admissions.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

Ensure that all of the organization’s policies and procedures are followed and prioritize the quality of care provided, as well as the safety and well-being of residents, in all tasks performed, actions taken and documents prepared;
Be vigilant with regards to the safety of Portage staff and residents, immediately report any dangerous situation and any accident or incident involving one or many residents;
Ensure that all tasks and actions performed focus on the safety and well-being of residents;
Ensure that future residents have provided all the required documents for their admission;
Welcome future residents, evaluates their demands, motivation and criteria;
Complete the program eligibility questionnaire for external applicants and those who are incarcerated;
Update relevant information in the resident’s database;
Refer residents to external resources;
Represent Portage in the community network and report on the action plan to the Admissions Coordinator;
Complete monthly statistic reports for admissions and present them at the team meeting;
Fulfill any other related task at the request of his or her immediate supervisor.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Hold a college degree (DEC) or a university degree in addiction, substance abuse, or in a related field
Pertinent experience in a similar position
Experience with a clientele with substance use disorders in a community setting or therapeutic community
Bilingual: French and English (spoken and written)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Capacity to negotiate, persuade and work under tight deadlines
Autonomy, empathy, organizational skills, initiative, excellent analytical and evaluation capacity

YOUR SCHEDULE AND YOUR BENEFITS

Schedule: Day shift - Monday through Friday
